What Does This Part Do?

The 17913-99E12 is a genuine Suzuki Marine factory engine water flush plug. This screw-in cap acts as the watertight seal for the dedicated freshwater flush port on your engine block. It allows boaters to safely connect a garden hose to clear away corrosive salt or brackish sediment from the cooling jackets. When not flushing, this plug must be correctly seated to maintain internal block pressure.

Failure Symptoms: If this cap cracks or its O-ring fails, it causes pressurised cooling water to spray out of the motor housing under power, triggering engine overheating warnings due to inadequate internal block pressure.

Compatibility

Important: This is a first-generation (non-A/non-B series) part. It does not fit later redesigned “A” or “B” engine models (e.g. DF60A, DF70A, DF90A, DF115A, DF140A).
