What Does This Part Do?

The 55321-87J01 is a genuine Suzuki Marine factory round sacrificial block / internal protection anode. It is one of the most widely used internal maintenance parts on Suzuki outboards, designed to prevent galvanic corrosion inside the water jackets, cylinder heads, and engine blocks by corroding away before the aluminium engine components do.

Compatibility

An incredibly universal part — suits virtually all Suzuki outboard models:

• Suzuki 4-Stroke Outboards: DF4 through to DF350A — 1999 to present
• Suzuki 2-Stroke Outboards: Select commercial and older models including DT9.9AK through to the 40W

Critical Installation Note

Depending on your specific engine model, a single Suzuki outboard can require anywhere from 2 to 5 of these internal anodes hidden behind various engine block plugs. When replacing this anode, you should also change its matching sealing components:
