Suzuki water pressure valve kit (Poppet Valve) 17660-99E01

A convenient set of genuine Suzuki Marine parts for servicing the water pressure valve, also known as a poppet valve or pop-it valve, on a compatible Suzuki outboard.

What does the water pressure valve do?

The valve regulates water flow and helps maintain coolant pressure within the engine block, supporting correct cooling operation at higher engine speeds.

Parts included in this kit

• 1 × Water pressure valve: 17660-99E01
• 1 × Water pressure valve cover: 17611-90J00
• 1 × O-ring: 09280-26006

The valve part number 17660-99E01 supersedes 17660-99E00. The cover and O-ring are included in this kit. These parts are also listed individually.

Engine compatibility

The supplied valve application reference lists selected Suzuki four-stroke outboards in the following model families and year ranges:

• DF25 / DF30 — 2000–2007
• DF40 / DF50 — 1999–2020
• DF60 / DF70 — 1998–2020
• DF90 / DF100 / DF115 / DF140 series
• DF200 / DF225 / DF250 / DF300 V6 series — 2004–2020+

This is a valve application guide, not confirmation that the complete kit fits every model or year listed. Model suffixes, production years and serial-number ranges can affect fitment. Confirm all three part numbers against your engine's parts catalogue before ordering. Contact us with your engine model and serial number if you need help confirming compatibility.

Maintenance tips

• When servicing a stuck or corroded valve, inspect the rubber seating/grommet and the tension spring behind the valve. These additional components are not included in this three-piece kit.
• Check the valve chamber for sand, debris and salt deposits that may interfere with valve operation and contribute to cooling problems.
• Replace the sealing O-ring when servicing the valve cover. A new 09280-26006 O-ring is included in this kit.
